Wow... Rajdhani Express at Bombay Central (Now Mumbai BCT) in 1985 when Amitabh Bachchan's 'Mard' and Anil Kapoor's 'Meri Jung' Films had released in India. I remember that during the Early 1990s these AC Coaches were Vacuum Break enabled. There were Green & Red Circular Buttons to on/off the lights. Even the windows were square shaped with a thick outline mould... typical ICF Design Shells but in the Mid 1990s, RCF Red n Cream Rakes had come with windows having a black rubber outlining. Traveling by the AC Chair Car up to NDLS was tiring but being a small kid, my Mother used to lay a 'chaddar' on the coach's flooring for me to sleep on it. I could feel the vibration of the coach's wheels at 130 Kmph. The Vaitarna Bridge after the train coming out of Bombay City was amazing during Sunset. Our train used to break the PSR...

Sir, I remember that a WDS-4 Shunter used to shunt in the Raj Exp rake into BCT in reverse gear when we would see the EOG coming into the platform without any loco. The two square windows with 4 rods on them at the EOG's back were also cute looking. Once a RTM WDM had shunted the rake into BCT for us. In HWH, there is always a shunter that brings in any train's rake (no reverse gear)... when I would reach at NDLS then I would be surprised to see a Raj liveried WAP Loco and think 'engine kab change hua'... now I realize that it was done at Ratlam :)
There was a time when Rajdhani express was identified from its unique colour scheme but nowadays, even normal AC express (including lhb ones) have rajdhani colour scheme. The railways should have maintained the colour scheme for rajdhani & shatabdi that it has done over the years!
exactly sir... what i was thinking that IR gave the same livery to normal LHB AC Exp n SFs too.. now IR giving the 130mps to SFs.. Sampoorna Kranti Exp got 130mps sanctioned and running great now a days... what my concern is if 12393 Sampoorna Kranti also has 130km/h speed n punctual enough thn who's gonna spend 400/- bucks extra in Patna Rajdhani for just 1hr 20min extra n catering.. sab Sampoorna Kranti hi lenge na..
