Till mid eighties connectivity of indore was poor. It was only when Mr madhavrao scindhia became RM trains like avantika, malwa, shipra, ahilya nagari got introduced before that indore had connectivity to delhi and mumbai only in the form of slip service which used to get attached ti BDTS DDN express at nagda. Things started to move when Sumitra tai became MP as she was managing to get trains even when in opposition.
on the other hand bpl had rajkot bpl express its dedicated connection which got extended to JBP while indore managed to get full train to ahemdaba in place of the slip service which was in operation between indore and rajkot. I hope with new pitline first bhopal should hold...
more... on to the limited dedicated train it has and then surely ask for new trains.
BPL has lost 3 trains to indore in form of overnight , pench valley and INDB BE . Hopefully no more extension to indore in future
