project, which was initially proposed by H.D. Kumaraswamy during his time as the Kanakapura MP in 1996-97, is expected to benefit the people of Ramanagara, Mandya, and Chamarajanagar districts. The line is estimated to cost ₹1,382.78 crore (as of 2013), with the central and state governments sharing the cost equally. The project requires 1,723 acres of land and will span 142 kilometers. Annasaheb also expressed concern over the alleged misappropriation of ₹11,000 crore meant for SC/ST communities, questioning the silence of MLA Narendra Swamy who is a member of the house committee. He also alleged that ₹187 crore from the Valmiki Development Corporation was diverted to accounts of businessmen and liquor traders for the Telangana elections, questioning the silence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Kumaraswamy ne Kanakapura MP ke role mein propose kiya tha, Ramanagara, Mandya, aur Chamarajanagar district ke logon ke liye bahut faydemand hoga. Is line ki lagat ₹1,382.78 crore (2013 tak) aanki gayi hai, aur centre aur state government dono is lagat ko aapne aap mein share karenge. Is project ke liye 1,723 acres zamin ki jarurat hai aur yeh 142 kilometers lamba hoga. Annasaheb ne SC/ST community ke liye alag rakhe gaye ₹11,000 crore ke ghalat istemaal ki bhi chinta vyakt ki, aur MLA Narendra Swamy ke khamoshi par sawal uthaye jo house committee ke member hain. Unhone yeh bhi alag lagaya ki Valmiki Development Corporation ke ₹187 crore ko Telangana elections ke liye vyapari aur daru vyapariyon ke accounts mein transfer kiya gaya, aur isme CM Siddaramaiah ke khamoshi par sawal uthaye.
