In the latest series Railway Men, the Gorakhpur - Bombay Express is seen at Bhopal Junction.
Has anyone any idea which is this Gorakhpur express which ran during 1980s which used to arrive Bhopal at night? Is it present day Kushinagar express?

Actually it was Raptisagar express, in series they are showing gkp-bombay.
Incorrect info. In news reports it is clearly mentioned that it was Bombay Gorakhpur Express. I think it was Kushinagar Express and earlier it was under CR and not NER at that time
But as shown in series that there is Punjab Mail and I think it actually departed before the Gas Leak.

I think center didn't learnt the lesson regarding coromandal disaster (primary reason for 300+ death is due to rake standardization concept) and that too in Ashwini Vaishnav constituency belt.

Ashwani Vaishnav is a big failure for Indian railways for last 24 months. (1) Let him at least introduce 300 trains for general public all SF trains and 50 percent SL and 50 percent 3E class and with no tatkal in next 12 months. (2) introduce 100 Amrit Bharat Push Pull trains between 12 Indian cities. (3) I have already highlighted 200 pairs of VB sleeper train routes. If he can do these three things in next 24 months, he can wipe out waitlists. This RM will be replaced in 24 months as he will fail in meeting basic needs of no wait list by 2025.
Give him a deadline of 2025 end for achieving Zero wait list and all reservations honoured by IR from January 1, 2026
This train should get halt in panipat and karnal as will boost the occupancy
Train is already very popular in both up and down direction . It often gets late at Delhi cantt towards Jaipur . This is hitting punctuality and patronage of the train .
The occupancy is more than 200% hence halts are not at all required ….
I had traveled in it yesterday, believe me getting a ticket is difficult during weekend . Both the VBs get full from CDG itself …

In my opinion, stoppage at Gandhinagar Jaipur may be removed if it provides 10 minutes speed-up overall. Does nayone have station-wise patronage data for this train since its extension?
