ha ha This discussion is going from long back where cost reduction achieving by Eloco compared to Deisel ? May i know how you reduce cost doing electrification? And also in above comments i didnt say no for RE but present Doubling is most important one than RE as we cant run more trains on Single lines with good Avg speed even doing RE if we dont have free slots to run trains on single line then whats use of investing on RE instead they have concentrated on doubling i mean to say in above comment.

It is good and will help also. But our question here is what is use of Island kind of RE. Neither Miraj nor Kwv has Electric line to connect, How this small piece of RE will help, where will be eloco's coming from, Shed and all.

I knew Miraj-Kurudwadi will be not in doubling plans yet but i said instead of spendin RE for single line why not CR make it use for Main trunk route Bhigvan-Gulbarga to get electrified & doubled so that atleast it can be useful in bulk way rather then doing RE on small strecth where they not going to run Eloco in near future for sure until complete Miraj-pune & Bhigvan-gulbarga get electrified. Simply errecting OHE poles and wires for idle purpose.

We discussing about Sections which are Island type not for all sections of IR. electrification if done also then its difficult to run Eloco on Miraj-javala stretch. People asking railway officials often about Bhigvan-Gulbarga doubling & electrification where lot of delays taking place it is such sections need to be done electrification first from where feeder line Kurudwadi-miraj can get Electrification connection/Eloco else nothng will happen only errecting OHE poles and commissioning small section without open for traffic use.
