Several trains have been canceled, including the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Gorakhpur Express (12531/12532), Lucknow Patliputra-Lucknow Express (12530/12529), Chhapra-Mathura Jhansi Express (22531/22532), Gwalior-Barauni Express (11123), Barauni-Gwalior Express (11124), and the special trains 04137, 04138, 04032, 04031, 14010, 15114, and 15113. Other trains like the Barauni-New Delhi Special (02563), New Delhi-Barauni Special (02564), Darbhanga-New Delhi Special (02569), and New Delhi-Darbhanga Special (02570) will be rerouted to avoid certain stations like Siwan, Deoria Sadar, Gorakhpur, Basti, and Aishbagh.

A request has been made to run special trains on the Chhapra-Thawe rail section in view of Diwali and Chhath. A letter was sent to the railway administration highlighting the need for long-distance trains and passenger trains, especially during the festive season.

Diwali aur Chhath ke madde-nazar Chhapra-Thawe rail khand pe special train chalane ki maang ki gayi hai. Unhone rail administration ko letter bhejkar lambi doori ki trainon ki jarurat aur passenger trainon, khass kar festive season mein, ki baat rakha hai.
