As Deccan Queen has only one stop here in entire route in Mumbai Suburban region . Whereas this train has many halts here.

This train can be good for Railfanning as you would able to see some Xings of trains during morning session also will able to enjoy the amazing Khandala Ghat (Bhor Ghat) section any many more things as well. And I would Suggest you that you can take this train from Pune to Ahmedabad as well though not travelled fully but by looking at the TT i think that It would be as like of Shatabdi Express distance here.

Before day of Journey this train has seats available about 150 - 200 here . And one week before there are about 750 seats available here . You can get your tickets easily here without any trouble here.

Though this trains speed ups from Pune till Lonavala but from Lonavala onwards it takes halts a lot it halts at Khandala , Monkey hill , Thakurwadi , also sometimes it halt about 10 minutes unecessary at Lonavala outers. For this better go for 02943 Pune Indore Express.

CivilEngineer_cum_Railfan^~ 8743 blog postsI had travelled 9 - 10 years ago in this train . One time from Pune to Goa and one time Pune to Nizamuddin. But it's a request don't feel bad if I say something little bit about this train , because when I travelled by this train I noticed these some things while travelling by this train . This is a good train from Pune to Goa but not good train from Pune to Delhi . Because when I travelled in this train last time we had to do Tatkaal booking since me and my family decided to travel by train from Pune to Delhi. Almost the booking was full , The route covered by this train from Pune to Delhi is very long , also LR requires at DD . In case of food , food of this train was not so good was OK . I didn't face...
