Basic premise of the lock down is that you should stay at home, not travel. Earlier lock down literally meant curfew like situation. Irresponsible politicians muddled and now we have a huge problem at hand when there should have been none. Govt. provide for food and shelter, other institutions are providing groceries. It is the govt's duty that no one dies of hunger. Plenty of shelter homes have cropped up at unbelievable places like national highways. At some places, NGOs and others have arranged for milk, toys and other material for kids of these migrants. All this only because these poor are not earning. You hand over cash to them and they will roam in search of their favorite items which is dangerous even in their native places. This has been proven beyond doubts when in lock-down 3.0 things were relaxed. You got to see impossible crowds for liquor and tobacco...
