2025. Train 04431 (Delhi-Jakhal Passenger) is also cancelled from December 1st, 2024 to February 28th, 2025. The Jind railway junction superintendent, J.S. Kundu, confirmed the cancellations due to fog, stating the situation regarding train 04431 is unclear. The Daily Passenger Welfare Association has requested the railway authorities to resume trains 04424 and 04431.

Thirteen stations are planned, including Delhi, Asauda, Rohtak, Jind, Kaithal, Sangrur, Malerkotla, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Amritsar. The corridor will run parallel to the Delhi-Amritsar-Katara Expressway. Punjab districts affected include Mohali (39 villages), Jalandhar (49), Ludhiana (37), Amritsar (22), Fatehgarh Sahib (25), Kapurthala (12), Tarn Taran (1), and Rupnagar (1).
