The rake of Train no. 01015 / 01016 Lokmanya Tilak (T) - Karmali - Lokmanya Tilak (T) Weekly Special has been standardized by augmenting 02 Three Tier AC Coaches to the existing composition of 20 Coaches. Train will run with a revised composition of 22 LHB coaches from 07/10/2021 (Thursday).
Western Railway has notified Stoppage for Train No. 02284 / 02283 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Jn – Hazrat Nizamuddin Weekly Duronto Special trains at Surat on experimental basis for a period of six months with effect from 30.9.2021 as detailed below.
The new Public Time Table of South Central Railway will come into effect from 1st October, 2021. The salient features of new Public Time Table includes information pertaining to introduction of new train, Conversion of Mail/ Express trains to Superfast express and Passenger to Express trains, diversion of trains, Speeding up of trains, change in Terminals over South Central Railway.

The constant efforts of South Central Railway combined with the Policy initiatives introduced by the Ministry of railways (including both Tariff and non-Tariff concessions) have resulted in the Zone recording its highest ever Parcel earnings in the history. The Zone has earned revenue of Rs.109.06 crores by loading 2.56 lakh tonnes of Parcels during the first six months in the current financial year 2021-2022 duly surpassing previous years entire parcel revenue of Rs. 108.30 crores.
The customer friendly initiatives introduced by Indian Railways like Advance Booking facility of Parcel space in all mediums i.e., in Luggage Rooms on Passenger carrying trains, Parcel Vans attached to the regular trains (non-indented) and in Timetabled parcel trains has immensely helped the traders, cargo aggregators and farmers, especially those who are handling small quantities for transporting their consignments in a safe, secure, economical and fastest mode as per the planned schedule.
One of the major contributors for this growth has been the Timetabled Parcel Trains operated by the Zone during this period. These trains have helped in transportation of several essential commodities like Fruits, onions, Eggs, Fish, and Mangoes to different destination across the country. During the period April, 2021 to 27th September 2021, the zone has run 343 kisan rails transporting onions, Mangoes and other agricultural commodities carrying 108388tonnes generating revenue of Rs.49.43 crores. Further, SCR operated Doodh Duronto specials to the National Capital carrying 3.78 croreliters of Milk which generated a revenue of Rs. 17.85 crores. The other major commodities which generated revenue are through transportation Fish, Eggs, hard parcels, etc. The zone has transported 37,199 tonnes of fish and 19,570 tonnes of Eggs which generated revenue of Rs. 8.91 crores and Rs. 3.88 crores respectively. Importantly the zone has achieved 100% bar coding for tracking of Parcel packages.
The Consistent efforts of Officers and staff of the zone, has yielded results and helped in capturing new traffic avenues. “Baby Diapers” were loaded from Renigunta to various destinations generating revenue of Rs.52 lakhs and “MRF Tyres” was loaded in first NMG rake from Sadashivpet to North Western Railway generating revenue of Rs. 11 Lakhs.
Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager of South Central Railway complimented the efforts put in by the Zonal and Divisional teams of Operating and Commercial branches in achieving the best ever parcel revenue in the history of the zone during the first six months of current financial year. He advised the teams to maintain the same momentum. He instructed the Officers and Staff to have a proactive approach in addressing the concerns of the parcel customers and directed to render all out efforts in attracting new traffic, duly strengthening the existing traffic.
To further improve railway network in Manipur, Shri Anshul Gupta, General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway on 22nd September, 2021 inspected Jiribam station in Manipur. The General Manager conducted follow up inspection of Hon’ble Minister of State of Railways, Coal & Mine Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve who recently conducted inspection of various project sites of the ongoing Jiribam – Imphal new BG railway line project. may be mentioned that passenger train service was re-introduced between Jiribam of Manipur and Silchar of Assam during last month to fulfil long standing requirement of the people of Manipur. The General Manager visited Jiribam goods shed and discussed about further improvement of freight business. He also conducted window trailing inspection between Jiribam and Lumding. In the course of his inspection, Shri Anshul Gupta, the General Manager inaugurated the new building of Divisional Railway Hospital at Lumding. The new building named as “Rail Sanjeevani” has been dedicated to the division by the General Manager in the presence of Shri G. K. Chakraborty, Principal Chief Medical Director, N. F. Railway and Shri J. S. Lakra, Divisional Railway Manager. The building has been provided with fire hydrant to mitigate the threat of fire hazard. An oxygen plant of 100 LPM has been installed first time in N. F. Railway which will provide direct supply of oxygen to the patient in the wards.
