During the course of the meeting, the Hon’ble Members of Parliament raised several issues related to Railway developmental works / services in their respective constituencies. The demands raised by the Hon’ble Members included construction of new lines, introduction of new trains, extension of existing train services, additional stoppages to existing trains, construction of Road Over Bridges/Road Under Bridges and providing improved passenger amenities etc. Speaking to the media on the occassion, Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav informed that new railway line projects between Karimnagar-Nizamabad, Jaggayyapet-Mellacheruvu-Janpahad, Devarakadra-Jacklair, Bidar-Gulbarga have been completed. Rail Bhogi Kharkhana at Yadgir has commenced. He also said that MMTS Phase-II project will be completed by the end of 2018. Cherlapalli, Lingampalli and Nagalapalli railway stations would be developed as Terminal stations to decongest the existing stations. He stated that railway is committed to construct Road Over Bridges and Road Under Bridges as part of the Safety Plan in lieu of all the Level Crossing Gates and it has already proposed construction of 100 ROB/RUBs and waiting for the consent of the State Govt. Railways also initiated steps to establish Wagon POH Workshop at Kazipet.
