This route will strongly benefit Indore and Malwa region.
(1) 47000 containers per day may result in 2-3 container trains per day which may not be enough
(2) Alternate CSTM-MMR-INDB-GUNA-GWL-NDLS route (1470KM long against...
more... 1542 KM via BPL) will be created with substantial passenger as well as freight traffic potential
(3) Shorter route for Indore/Malwa region for Mumbai, (just 596 kms against 829 kms via BRC-UJN) Maharashtra & South India
(4) Scope for operating RORO freight trains from Mumbai/ Nashik etc to IND and beyond.
