The Sabdalpur Station which is across the bridge is far better than Munger station according to City, Sabdalpur is in ECR and ECR build the Sabdalpur railway station but Munger is in ER and still the station built on raw material. see the images of Sabdalpur station. I took these images from Sabdalpur station blog which is posted by one of the IRI member.

Sometimes you have to give sharp turns under geographical or space constraints. Curve between Katni Murwara to Katni jn is also quite sharp, where trains crawl at speed of 10-15kph. Within PSR they can use the Y-leg I believe.

I have added the distance and curve of both the Y leg, As per google map MGR-JMP-BGP Y leg curve is 612 Meter and Katni Jn to Katni Murvara Jn Curve is 710 Meter. both looks similar curve, it means if Railway engineers provide the quality of work Munger-Jamalpur-Bhagalpur Y leg is also possible for frequently running the trains as Katni Jn to Katni Murvara Jn Curve is already running. Yes some precautions should be taken by Train running department.

As per Newspaper the Central angle of JMP-MGR-BGP Y Leg curve is 180 degree. and we know the arc length is 610 meter. So we can find the radius of the curve. As per wikipedia Indian Railways sharpest curve permitted on broad gauge is 175 meter radius. Minimum_railway_curve_radius
Now We have length of the Arc is 610 meter and Central Angle 180 degree(= 3.1415926536 radians).
Formula Curve Radius = Arc Length / Central Angle(In Radians)

the JMP-MGR-BGP Y leg Curve Radius = 610/3.1415926536 Meter = 194.17 Meter.
which is greater than the Sharpest curve made by Indian Railway. So It is feasible.
I have added the diagram of the current construction, according to me the central angle is not 180 degree, don't know where the information comes from to the newspaper, newspaper is wrong about the central angle, according to me the central angle is little bit more than 90 degree, if we think it is 100 degree(= 1.74 Radians) then the calculation will be.
Now the JMP-MGR-BGP Y leg Curve Radius = 610/1.74 Meter = 350.57 Meter.
Which is far better than the Sharpest curve in india. I agree there must be some problem in construction but this is not related to architecture.

I told it very earlier that IR Mgmt don't want to deliver. This is the problem. They think that they got govt job and nothing to worry. So upto some extent privatization of Railway is required.
